The Two Real Estate Investor Conferences That Are Worth Attending
Whether you're a seasoned real estate investor or new
to the industry you will want to make sure you are constantly educating
yourself. The real estate industry is continuously evolving and these
annual conferences will keep you up-to-date with current events, new
technologies and market trends.
With hundreds of real estate conferences offered each year, it can be hard
to decide which conferences are worth spending your time and money. If
you can only attend two conferences all year, these are the two I recommend.
Information Management Network (IMN)
The first one is the Single Family Rental Investment Forum hosted
by IMN. This conference takes places twice a year, once in Scottsdale,
Arizona and the other in Miami, Florida. During the 2.5 days, several
presentations will discuss the latest industry topics, there will be
Q&A sessions with a panel of expert speakers, small group meetings will
be available for business owners and of course, much more. Some of the
key market participants in the past have been Property Brokers, Fix and
Flippers, Rating Agencies, Note Buyers, ABS & REIT Investors, Single
Family Owners, and Operators.
If you’re an experienced investor and do big business, have high volume,
a large team, and complete several deals per month, then this conference
is where you should be. Anyone who is anyone in the world of real estate
will be in attendance. Given the nature of this conference, the admission
tickets come at a high price point, a few thousand dollars. If you specialize
or are an expert in a particular real estate investing topic, you can propose
to be a guest speaker. If the organization grants you a speaking role, you may
get your ticket comped. If you have valuable content to share, this option is
worth pursuing.
Think Realty Conference
The second conference recommendation is the Think Realty Conference, which is
perfect for those starting out or relatively new to real estate investing.
Each year, the team at Think Realty hosts four to five conferences. Content
that is shared is known to be extremely valuable and informative. The speakers
have a wealth of industry knowledge under their belts, the panel of guests are
insightful, and the live presentations are nothing short of brilliant. This is
not the kind of conference that tries to push products and services on the attendees.
Although services are offered, they surely aren’t the focal point here. Other
highlights are the networking opportunities and affordability of the tickets. It’s
not very expensive to attend the event and registration can be done online.
Just to reiterate, if you’re looking to stay abreast of real estate industry trends
and the latest news, network with other investors, and grow your business, the IMN
and the Think Realty Conferences make stellar options.
