cleaning, collection and conduction of organic material to land, with vehicles equipped
with vacuum suction to capture the algae without affecting the marine fauna, they assured.
The company mentioned that sargassum could be used in the production of Biodisel and
derivatives, as it is sought by the Superior Technologist of Felipe Carrillo Puerto,
as well as other university institutions.
Among the critical points where this anti-sargassum barrier will be placed is the old
town of Playa del Carmen to the south of Punta Venado. In municipalities such as Cancún,
Puerto Morelos, Tulum and Mahahual, the places will not be decided yet.
The 27 kilometers covered by the containment meshes are not continuous — it was specified —
but they will be placed in sections of 500 or 1,000 meters in front of the most affected beaches.

Similarly, he explained that the low seasons in these dates have disappeared, because it has seen a lot of reservations, for the all-inclusive packages offered by the lodging centers and that have very comfortable prices for tourists. He also stressed that the famous solidarity breaks have disappeared, in which the workers had to lose their source of income for days, without being dismissed, but that it did not benefit them, since their fortnights were not what they expected and with that they tried to subsist the low season. He said that the workforce of more than 2,500 unionized workers of the CROC is working and that the announcement of the construction of a new hotel in the Riviera Maya will help expand the number of union members to 800 more. Finally he explained that in October is another of the low seasons, the occupation is estimated at 90 to 95 percentage points and remain so until March.
